Place Riel Construction Zone Maps
Inlay Area Construction Zone
The inlay area (which sits directly north of the Place Riel Student Centre) has been permanently closed to pedestrian traffic. Previously the inlay was used as an access path from Place Riel to the Campus Bowl, which connects to most of the University's Departments and Colleges. With the inlay area now closed, pedestrians passing through Place Riel are advised to access the bowl through the Marquis Hall north door exit.

Breezeway Area Construction Zone
The breezeway that connected the bus mall (front doors of Place Riel) to the inlay area (north of Place Riel) is now permanently closed to pedestrian traffic. Previously the breezeway was used as an outdoor pathway to major areas on campus, including the Murray Building (Main Library), Marquis Hall and the Campus Bowl. With the breezeway now closed, pedestrians are advised to either use the indoor route (through Upper Place - Marquis Hall) to access the Bowl. Pedestrians wishing to access the Murray Building (Main Library) are advised to use either the western exit doors or use the Arts Tunnel via the College of Arts and Sciences building.

Campus Bowl Construction Zone
The western-third of the Campus Bowl will be cordoned off for the duration of the Place Riel renovation project. The cordoned area will be used to hold construction equipment and materials. A gated access path has been created that will allow for complete access to the paved path that circles the bowl.
